The Colbert Report is on heights

Filed under: best quotes, enterainment, latest news by: admin

Hello friends, I am very glad to tell you that the popularity of The Colbert Report is on heights. Moreover it is gradually moving up. Isn’t that great?
This came in view when rating were seen. You will be surprised to know that it has increased much from the past ones.

I think that Mr. Colbert deserves this. Stephen Colbert has always given his best to work and that is the reason he always delivers the best. Colbert always comes up with great innovative ideas and enthusiasm, like previously we saw him in Iraq with shaved head. This guy is insane! He can do anything to remain at the top. I appreciate his courage and dedication towards his work from the core of my heart.

I am very impressed from Stephen Colbert since the first time I watched him anchoring The Colbert Report. He is himself matchless and so is his show.

The Colbert Report was premiered on October 17, 2005 for the first time with its first season. Since then till yet, the show has aired 568 episodes which were full of entertainment and fun.

Well guys I don’t think all of you know much about The Colbert Report’s set. No worries!
I will let you know. The set for the The Colbert Report is known as “The Eagle’s Nest”. The Eagle’s Nest has two main areas: the desk, the place from where Stephen Colbert hosts most of the shows and the other is the guest interview area which is at the camera right.

I am very happy to you all that since the day I watched this show for the first time till date; I have never missed any of the episodes. And all of the episodes were amazingly good.
Trust me watching this Peabody and Emmy award winning American satirical late night television program is no less than a roller coaster ride.

If you have ever missed any of the episodes or want to brush up your memories with the show then you really don’t have to worry about this.

Stephen Colbert in Iraq

The well known host of The Colbert Report is in news these days. We all are quite familiar with his credence in the US army but this time he surprised everyone. Colbert shaved his head! Well believe it or not but this is the truth.

Stephen is in Iraq these days, not for a vacation but for the canning four episodes of his late night show from Baghdad. Stephen is a kind of person who always comes up with new and innovative ideas for his show. That works too, as his show is among few very popular late night shows on television. Stephen’s this idea is not only extraordinary but it even created a history as this is the first time in history of American television that a show is being edited, taped and broadcast from a combat zone.
Stephen said that one of the most important reasons for this is that the people of America seems to have forgotten about 135,000 troops that are in Iraq for serving them.

Stephen has always been a strong supporter of the US troop. I remember that he also raised funds for school supplies for the children of soldiers and how he supported yellow ribbon fund that helps injured veterans soldiers.

But this time around, what Stephen did, shows his respect and love for troops. He wore a camouflage suit, greeted the troops and in order boost up their spirits he even got his head shaved by the General Ray Odierno who is the commander of multinational corps in Iraq.

The Colbert Report is a Peabody and Emmy Award winning American late night talk show. The show focuses on the fictional host Stephen Colbert who acts as a high-status, poorly informed and well-intentioned idiot. The show is no doubt a hit and has a wide viewer ship.

A fan’s take on the book written by the folks at The Colbert Report.

Filed under: best quotes, enterainment by: admin

So, being a fan, a die hard one, of course, of The Colbert Report, I had high expectations from this book named I Am America (And So Can You!), written by Stephen Colbert and the other people on the writing team of the show.

This book is often touted as an extension of The Colbert Report, going deep and highlighting thoughts and actions of the poorly informed idiot, the fictional character, Stephen Colbert who tackles various issues that need urgent attention and concern the country.

There is a very obvious inspirations the book has used from the literary works of the shows and people who are parodied on the show. For example, Bill O’Reilly’s book, The O’Reilly Factor (2000), then the 2004 Sean Hannity’s book, Deliver Us From Evil. Colbert later has claimed to have coerced himself to read these books for his future references.

There are red margin notes which come across every where on the book, and it is an exciting feature as it imparts humorous takes and contradictions on Colbert’s sayings in some what Report’s Word Style format.

Another exciting feature is the sticker on the cover which shows up a burning book and reads, I Am America, and says “The Stephen T. Colbert Award for the Literary Excellence.” For the readers, a dozen stickers are given inside, to pass on and nominate people for the award. There is also a set of sticker which reads phrases like , “It’s Morning In Colbert-ica”, “Hell Yeah!” and “Nailed It!”. These can be used by the readers for book marking purposes, wherever they liked any thing in the book.

Colbert has widely publicized the book, even trying it as an instrument to advance his political careers.

A great read, especially for the fans.
I will be waiting eagerly to read your comments and opinions.

Take care people, I will be back soon with more updates.
Bye.

I Am America (And So Can You!) – A book by the people at The Colbert Report

Filed under: best quotes, enterainment, latest news by: admin

Hey friends. Have the people here read or heard about the 2007 best seller book I Am America (And So Can You!)?????

This book, which is full of satire, is a fabulous read and why it should not be? It is written by Stephen Colbert in collaboration with the writers of our favorite comedy show, The Colbert Report.
The audio book edition came out much earlier than 9th October, 2007 when the book was released all over.

The book, which is published by Grand Central Publishing is based upon the life of the fictional Stephen Colbert, who is the main character of the The Colbert Report. The book stayed put on the New York Times Best Seller List for twenty - four weeks, in the non - fiction, hardcover category, until 6th April, 2008. Also it ranked at the top slot for fourteen of those twenty - four weeks.

The people who wrote this book are: Stephen Colbert, Rich Dahm, Paul Dinello, Allison Silverman, along with the support of Michael Brumm, Eric Drysdale, Rob Dubbin, Glenn Eichler, Peter Grosz , Peter Gwinn, Jay Katsir, Laura Krafft, Frank Lesser amd Tom Purcell.

The audio book edition also received a nomination in 2009 for the Grammy for Best Spoken Word Album. The 250 page book is a good one, and is more fun when you read it after watching the show. (At least, I read it that way, and enjoyed it thoroughly).

I gotta rush now, have some downloads to take care of but I would be filling you on the finer details about the contents of the book in the next update for sure

If you have read the book, do comment in your views about it, and if you have not, then still share your views on the show as well as on the writing skills that makes the show so laughable.

Take care. See you all later.
